Re: Battlefield Heroes

Post by George the Fedora on Fri Jan 28, 2011 9:05 am

Okay, so when the 700 free BF's offer comes back (soon I hope), I have two options.

#1 Get Mando weapons.
Uber Sharpie (560) + Gerhart's Greatest (145)
This will use up all my BF's. (I have 5 currently)

#2 Get Gunner weapons.
Stylish Panzerfist (380) + Wolfgang's Wonderful (145) + Friedrich's Fly Swatter(145)
This will leave me 35 which could buy me some widgets (most likely 50 Fireproof Underpants for one of my Heroes).

Which should I get? I really do like gunnering. Razz

I will refrain from bursting out in laughter after your post...

Oh yeah, my uncle was playing yesterday as "a blind man".

My aunt hates that we introduced him to BFH. Razz

Is there any hope for a player to win/do well without a purchased weapon?

Yes, but it requires plenty of practice and a knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of BF-purchased weapons.

In fact, my worst enemies are default weapons. Razz

Well that's good to know. It won't really help me, but once my bros are no longer banned from the puter, they might benefit from this info.

Thanks for the post SD. Smile

More info: Play commando and be a total camper.

That's prooobably the most effective way to use default weapons.

I'm using Beek's account, on TheOCDChicken, so if you see him on, that's probably me.

Hiding behind a commando is counter to the class's purpose. Sometimes an annoying person will follow a commando on their team to nullify the effect of stealth. Razz

Note to self: When attacking with gunners/soldiers, do not stand directly in front of or behind them. This either gets you in the way of the enemy's bullets or your allies in the way of your bullets. Razz

EDIT: Would you hate me if I admitted to occasionally using a code-gotten tonic? Razz On my Mando of course, and I only use a tonic or two a day, if ever. Razz

Re: Battlefield Heroes

I have a tech support question. When I tried to set up both our laptops for my bros to play BFH, one lap top said this right after you click "PLAY NOW" and the update tried to install:

An error occured: Failed to download config file.

Does anyone know how to fix that? Thanks.

Uh... try again.

If that fails, close your browser and try again.

If that fails, find the "Battlefield Heroes" folder under "EA Games" in "Program Files" and delete it, then try again.

Hey, SD you were logged in when I first came on! Although I let my baby bro use my account. He's playing my Madame Blueberry National.
