Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Post by George the Fedora on Thu Mar 02, 2017 2:37 pm

'nuff said.

I'm picking mine up tomorrow, anyone else pre-order?

Also, reviews! There are lots of reviews out now. Almost every one gives it a perfect or near-perfect score.

Metacritic ranked it as the 4th highest-rated video game.

Of all time.

Ever.

No Man's Sky taught me not to pre-order. Not that I pre-ordered it, but I saw how big of a disappointment it was.

I also don't have a Switch.

No Man's Sky was an unfortunate but atypical example of preordering gone wrong. I felt reasonably safe preordering both the Switch and BotW, and I'm not disappointed in the least.

Nintendo usually makes pretty nice stuff yeah, I usually just wait till a few days after stuff comes out to see what people say. It goes for everything, no matter how sure I am that it will be good.

I'm probably not going to look into a Nintendo Switch this year. I still need to at least complete a few video game titles that are on my New Nintendo 3DS XL. I was really excited for the Nintendo Switch though. I might look into one for maybe later next year or sometime when they get the Virtual Console up. Anyways that is so cool that George the Fedora got a Nintendo Switch with The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. I somehow heard that Monolith Soft was secretly involved with this game. (The same people that worked on Xenoblade Chronicles)

Anyways, what do you make of this game trailer?

The Switch technology is sound, despite all the complaints about it; there are thousands of people with perfectly fine systems, it's just that the few with problems complain the loudest.

I'm waiting for the Virtual Console to come out as well, right now it's just a slow trickle of ports and a few new titles.
