Saw it today...

VERY good movie. There is the fact that it was VERY much just Tangled in a different setting, but it was still a great watch, with a different message. Plus Olaf was hilarious. Razz

My brothers may go with some friends to go see it today. Honestly, seeing as how one of their friends is on holiday leave from the army, I see it as a waste of time, I think we should go hunting, trap making, shooting, or jujistu fighting. :PHowever, the trailer with the little snowman was funny, but I am somewhat under-impressed. ^^^ nothing lacking explosions impresses you. Razz

I'll probably see it, Pixar is capable of some absolutely fantastic stuff, and as Scare said, most of their work is quite good. But honestly, their latest movies have left me feeling... eh. And it's not just that I'm getting old either; I can still watch and enjoy Pixar films from a few years ago, (Incredibles, Cars, Toy Story, (1, 2, and 3) Finding Nemo, Both Monsters Inc. films, (Monsters U was quite good in my opinion) Tangled, Ratatouille, Bolt)  but some of the latest ones have either been lacking in plot, or felt as if they were intended for very young audiences instead of the whole family (compare Cars, to Cars 2, to Planes.... Cars was a GREAT movie that told a good, deep story, and it has you either laughing or seriously thinking the whole time. Cars 2.... had action, but the plot wasn't particularly deep. But Mater with Gatling guns made it all worth while, though I wouldn't and didn't pay to see it twice. Planes... extremely shallow plot, underdeveloped characters, felt like it was written for six year olds to watch at home without being designed to entertain parents or older siblings (no offense intended to anyone who liked it, it just wasn't my cup of tea.)) But it wasn't just planes, Brave had a decent story, but every male character was a complete and total idiot. So..... I think I'll check the reviews on Frozen before I put down 8 bucks and 2 hours of my time...

@Dino: Yeah, Brave was a femmy movie. Razz  LOL.

I really like the Monsters Inc. movies, as well as Toy Story and Ratatouille. Finding Nemo was good, but not my favorite. Tangled I will never see...romance, bleck. Cars? Not my cup of tea. Never seen Cars 2 or Planes, but honestly it seems too repetitive to have a Cars and then a Planes with basically the same digital structuring and plot. It's been too long since I saw A Bug's Life, but I reckon it was probably good.

There's my assessment of many of the Disney/Pixar films. Razz

I suggest you give Tangled a chance, it's not a mushy romance (no more than Han and Leia anyways) and isn't so much a princess movie as a story of growing up, trust, truth, and comical adventure. But watch what you will. Smile

DUDE, Scare, Tangled is EPIC! One of the best Disney/Pixars out there, seriously. And its not romance, like Dino said, it's very Han/Leia-esque.

@Yall:

Guys! Frozen is NOT a Disney-Pixar movie. Razz It's a Disney film, yes, but not in affiliation with Pixar. Both Frozen and Tangled are just Disney films. (Or Walt Disney Animation Studios films, to be exact. Razz )

EDIT: Going back on topic, I saw Frozen, and I loved it! A truly great Disney film. I liked how it almost poked fun at Disney's other films and taught us that we should be reasonable that "love at first sight" may not to what it's cut out to be. (example being Hans and Anna)
