Archie: Time Warrior

Post by Squid on Sat Jul 14, 2012 11:17 am

This isn't quite a proper MOC, as it's more of a photoshop creation, but it contains some LEGO figures I built, so I thought this the best place.
This is a concept picture for a film idea I thought up a few days ago, and have been thinking it out with more details slowly being added. There is a chance I may make this film after I Am The Night. I do think it's my best idea yet, and unless I think of something better to make, this will probably be made.

I tried to make it clean, smooth, stylish and rather mysterious.
In the story, a man named Archie and his wife Wendy get caught up in a small complex time war involving multiple versions of characters.
This is possible because this is one of those stories where traveling back in time just sends you to an alternate universe, the time traveler being the only thing remaining for the previous world, making paradoxes impossible. Kind of like Star Trek (2009) with double Spock.
Please tell me what you think. Smile I really love how this turned out.

OOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! I like it! It's a beautiful poster! I think I might move the print to the top center, or make it larger, but still sitting on the line. I LOVE how you have the figs reflections, the same people, but different. I'm looking forward to this, and whatever other brickfilms you do! Very Happy

Thanks. Smile
I'm rather fond of the reflections, though I had to build soemthing special to make sure that I could take both pictures with the figures in the exact right position.
Personally, I like it there, so that the reflections of the people are at the same level of the text reflection, and the line is in the exact center. I feel that the relatively small text is nice. A modest size, not in your face, giving the picture some roominess, and a feeling of expanse and possibilities. Exactly the sort of thing time travel is.

That's so clean and polished, I love it! What's the font?

The reflections with weapons is astounding. Great work!

Thanks. Smile
Century Gothic is the font. It's a pretty nice one, my favorite as of now. I'm going to use it a lot probably. He he.
I added the lines in the middle there to give it some uniqueness and style. I think it gives it a feel of going back and forth through time.

Yep, pretty much. Squiddeh, you must tell me what programs you use, and uh... include the cost of said programs. I work on a VERY limited budget. Razz
