Anime

Post by KaijuToonamiGuy on Mon Jun 25, 2012 9:14 am

Hey guys!

Is there any Japanese Anime shows that you watch? Like for instance.

I watch the first season of Pokemon a lot on special-edition DVD.

It's been a long time since I watched Yu-Gi-Oh!

I heard of Gundam but never watched it.

So tell me, what Anime shows do you watch or have seen?

This isn't a TV show, but I really liked the movie "Castle in the Sky," which was anime. It had a wonderful story and the music was epic. Very Happy

Um, yeah I watch a lot of anime. I didn't at first, but this friend of mine (real life) recommended to me this one series called: Fullmetal Alchemist.
I watched it and loved it. I then started on a whole bunch of others. Since then I have become a devoted fan to English dubbed anime and Eng subbed Manga.
I actually have a list I compiled the other day, here, wait one sec whilist I go get it.
...
Here we go:

--FINISHED ANIME SERIES--
1. Fullmetal Alchemist
2. Durarara
3. DeathNote
4. Code Geass + R2
5. Halo Legends
6. Elfen Lied
7. Peacemaker: Kuraguno
8. Suzuka

--FINISHING - ANIME SERIES--
1. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2. Bleach
3. DeadMan WonderLand

--FINISHED MANGA--
1. Elfen Lied

--FINISHING - MANGA--
1. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
2. Durarara
3. Suzuka

As you can see, I like anime Very Happy

@jonmike: Nice!! I wish I knew more Anime stuff, but there are only a few Anime I have seen a bit of like DragonBall or Sailor Moon. But I've seen a lot of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!! That's pretty much the Anime I've seen.

@JoeStowerway
Hey, don't despair my anime cohort in crime! There is always tomorrow! Wish you knew more anime stuff? Learn it! You got 60 years plus! (depending on health, demographic, current age, homelife, local and etc)
I would suggest starting on Fullmetal Alchemist. It's one of the best. It's really funny, graphics are nice, characters are very memorable and storyline is well, really pretty cool.

My all time favorite Anime would have to be Yu Yu Hakusho. I also enjoy Trigun, and Darker Than Black.

There's a Mega Man series? Razz

I'm fairly new to anime, but I've seen a few that I like. Sonic X, K-On!, and Clannad are pretty good.

Josh: Yup!! There were quite a few Mega Man series of Anime.

There were...

Mega Man (1994)

Mega Man X (90's)

Mega Man NT Warrior (2000's)

That's pretty much what I know so far.

Try looking up some of the series on like youtube or something.

The Sonic X series was pretty silly if you ask me. I don't remember much of the Megaman series that much though....

As a Sonic fan, I didn't mind so much. Razz

Except for Chris. There was no reason to shoehorn him into Season 3... xD

They made a Sonic anime? That's....odd. xD

I've watched a few animes, like, Death Note, Code Geass, Angel Beats and more stuff that I'm too lazy to mention. Razz

But if you want a good one, watch Clannad and Clannad After Story. That's one of if not the best there is. A must watch in my opinion.

Years ago I watch Dragon Ball Z. I watched Sonic X a few years back too. I didn't like Sonic X either. The whole Saga system was junk. And yeah, only a few episodes were good. I watched a few episodes of Kenichi: The Mightiest Desciple, which they were far-fetched and stupid. The Death Note mangas I've heard are pretty good. And I'm currently watching Fullmetal Alchemist, which is by far my favorite anime. Avatar: The Last Airbender was ok too.

Ahem, out of concern for the safety of our forum, and to ensure the rules are being followed we're asking that you be very careful about what you list here. Suspect

So, any anime listed that has rather inappropriate content should be removed from your post. oO

I know that some of the stuff listed here is like PG-13 level, and that's fine, but please don't mention/discuss any TV-MA/Rated R shows/movies here. If one of the ones you've listed is rated like that, please edit the title out of your post, or PM me if you need help.

Thanks.

Recently i got into "A Certain Scientific Railgun" its on youtube and English subbed, and i think funnimation dubbed it, but i don't know where to find the dubbed version. its really interesting, and in my opinion would be rated about PG-13(however if you find its not ill remove this post and profusely apologies, but i seriously do recommend it

*its rated PG-13, and does not exceed, but does go up to the line a bit. aaaaaaaaaaaaaand the second season throws that line out of the window. so... yo has yall ben warned yalla

MMMMMMMMM, probably Death Note or Black Butler? I dunno, both were pretty awesome.

(Just a warning, both animes aren't necessarily PG, especially Black Butler. Just in case anyone was curious. Razz)
