I've scrapped this project. Too much for one man, but I did learn a lot! I'll be moving the mod over to SoaSE: Rebellion. The work will be for waste, but, as I said, I've learned "transferable skills" to use for the Rebellion mod.

Right.

Work has just begun on my new mod "Sins: 2400" for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. So far I only have the theme music picked out. Razz

There will be seven (human) factions: The Yaka Empire, USSNA (United Socialist States of North America), Brazilian Empire, Pacifica, Russia, The People's Republic of China, and Fascist Europe. In the canon, there is an eight faction, but that faction is the United Muslim Brotherhood, and they do not have their own space program.

Faction will be added in the order listed above (Subject to change).

I need music for all factions, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. All songs should be instrumental, with no distinguishable lyrics (lyrics like those used on Two Steps From Hell songs are okay). Soundtrack-sounding music is sort of the type I'm going for.

Yaka Empire: Industrial-sounding, gritty, somewhat dark
USSNA: Socialist nation; in all honestly, I have absolutely no idea what kinda of music should be played for this. Perhaps older, 1920s-1950s type music, even though it's far into the future?
Brazilian Empire: the nation is a theocracy, so I'm thinking of some kinda of blend between Latin American music and choruses like those used in the Catholic Church
Pacifica: A blend between Oriental and Techno music. Pacifica was originally formed from Japan and all of the Pacific islands. They are the most scientifically advanced faction, so techno/electronic sounds appropriate.
Russia: Capitalist Russia. I'm thinking classical Russian songs might be appropriate, but post it anyways if you feel it's appropriate
China: Chinese-sounding. Eyup. Razz
Fascist Europe: This one's going to be difficult. I'm looking for something with a very military, harsh sound to it. Basically, something that could sound like it came out of Nazi Germany in the 1940s.

If you find any songs, link to them on soundcloud or YouTube or something. Even better, if you feel like it, compose some of your own music using Garage Band or something better. That'd be awesome. Razz

Actual mod development will begin June 3 or shortly there-after, as that's when the next DLC (and thus, updates) will be coming out. I don't want to get into code production, and then have to reprocess it all to make it comply with the new game updates.

Some new music has been added, and construction of the Military tech tree has started. Currently, we only have Autocannon, beam weapon, flak cannon, and plasma damage increase researches, but many more will be added, of course.
