Hammer Hovertank

Post by Sloop on Sun Mar 21, 2010 11:38 am

Just a tank project I've been working on for the PCG I'd say it's roughly 60% complete. Designed to engage enemies at close range, it is heavily armored on all sides, and is fitted with boosters to increase it's speed. Usually deployed into urban environments, it depends on commando squads for protection against infantry.

Hey! Nice! I wish I had my Legos available for building. Anyway, when can I expect to see this finished?

Tomorrow, maybe the day after that. I've been working on it off and on for about three months, and I'm finally making progress on it.

Sorry for the double post Razz

Update: I've added more fiya' powa' in the form of forward anti-personnel pulse lasers and am thinking about adding side mounted missile/rocket pods. The bottom hover-pack has been added and is functioning as well or better than in simulations. Also am contempleting adding a 50 cal. to the top for the gunner to defend himself with. I need help with the gunshield though, this is what I have but it looks kind of funny. Any ideas?

Looks nice, Sloop. Can't wait to see it finished.

About the gunshields; I wouldn't really know about that, but don't they usually have the gun pointing out of the middle, between the shields?

Like this:

With a gun

Without a gun

Humor : One day, a man went out hunting. He saw that it was starting to overcast, and he decided to head home. On the way back, he saw three lonely, cold frogs on a log, trying to stay warm. He invited them to come with him, warmly saying, 'Come with me; I have a cozy cabin for you to stay.' The frogs agreed, and they went with him. Later that night, the man took the frogs up to his bathroom. He placed the first frog in the bathtub filled with water, saying, 'Here is a place for you.' The frog said, 'Thank you!' He placed the second frog in the sink, filled with water, and said, 'Here is a place for you.' And the frog said, 'Thank you!' And he placed the third frog in the toilet, saying, 'And finally, a place for you.' And the frog said, 'Thank you!'--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The next day, the man came inside of the bathroom, and asked the first frog, 'How was your night?' And the frog said, 'Good!' and he let the frog go. He went to the second frog, and asked, 'How was your night?' And the frog said, 'Good!' And the hunter let the frog go. And finally, he came to the third frog, and asked, 'How was your night?' And the frog said, 'Ooh!! It was horrible!! There was stinky thunder, rain, then the sky cracked open and a log fell on my head!!'

I'd love to see them try to modulate their shields to block the forward railguns :face:

I have a feeling, any Borg that tried to stand against this would be burnt toast before long.
